More views. Fewer creator bookings. Better insight into campaign value.

A retail creator campaign across Riyadh, Jeddah and Khobar generated approximately 7.27 million TikTok and Instagram views in three months—and revealed why the lowest booking fee does not always deliver the best value.

    The campaign

The campaign centred on creators visiting retail stores across Riyadh, Jeddah and Khobar and sharing content with their audiences.

Beyond tracking total views, we examined what each booking delivered relative to its cost. That gave us a clearer picture of the differences between creators and platforms—and evidence to inform future bookings.

What this means for future bookings

    • Compare booking fees with actual delivery.
    • Review performance by creator and platform.
    • Use the findings to guide rebooking, budget allocation and further testing.

The booking fee was only part of the story

Two TikTok videos illustrate why creator pricing needs to be assessed alongside delivery.

Individual TikTok video fees and views; not campaign averages
    ExampleBooking feeViewsFee per 1,000 views
    August videoSAR 2,0009,000SAR 222
    September videoSAR 3,000420,000SAR 7

The September video cost 50% more to book, but its fee per 1,000 views was approximately 97% lower. These are two individual examples, rather than campaign averages. A lower booking fee does not necessarily mean more efficient audience exposure.

    What the results tell us

What did the platform split reveal?

TikTok generated approximately 98% of reported views, compared with Instagram's 2%. Instagram recorded the higher engagement rate—2.7%, versus 1.6% on TikTok—but that rate applied to a much smaller volume of views. Evaluating either metric alone would miss part of the picture.

Did higher fees guarantee better performance?

No. Higher fees did not guarantee stronger performance. Equally, lower fees did not consistently deliver lower costs per view. The two-video comparison illustrates this difference; it is not a campaign average or proof of causation.

Do these views establish store visits or sales?

No. Creator store visits were the content activity. Views do not establish consumer store visits or sales. This analysis provides a clearer understanding of audience delivery and creator cost efficiency.

    Measurement notes

    • Figures cover cumulative TikTok and Instagram views as of October 8, 2026, grouped by campaign month. Snapchat and October activity are excluded.
    • Views are not deduplicated reach. Monthly creator counts describe bookings and should not be added together as a unique-creator total.
    • Engagement rate = (likes + comments) ÷ views. Shares and saves are excluded.
    • The individual cost comparisons use the reported video booking fee and do not represent all-in campaign costs. View totals and percentage changes are rounded.
